Film adaptation of the children’s book by Martin Muser. Ten-year-old Finn, whose parents are separated, is supposed to travel to his mother and her new boyfriend in Berlin for his birthday – by train, all alone for the first time. When his rucksack and ticket are stolen during the journey, he has to get off at the next stop and is handed over to the police by the conductor, who doesn’t believe his story about the stolen rucksack. When the opportunity to escape presents itself on the way to the police station, Finn takes off with an adventurous girl called Jola. Their destination: the sea.
