Finding Canadian Traces in Germany

Jun 1 - Jun 8, 2017

The German National Tourist Office will partner with Canadian blogger Oneika the Traveller to track down Canadian links with Germany. Oneika is the perfect fit for the project. She’s married to a German husband, her ‘Liebling’, and has been curious for quite some time about the ties between both their home countries.

Planned is a video series exploring such questions as: which German city gave the province of New Brunswick its name; was the father of Canada’s award-winning ice wine a German, and how come we use German words like Kindergarten and Gesundheit? Findings will be posted on the Germany Travel Facebook page as well as on its YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe!
