DAAD – German Academic Exchange Service offers Master’s and Doctoral Students, and in some cases Bachelor program graduates, in fields related to the natural sciences and engineering the chance to complete an internship in a German workplace or non-university research institution with strong connections to industry through its RISE Professional program.

All participants receive a scholarship from DAAD and an additional stipend from their host company/institution to help cover living expenses along with health insurance while in Germany and a stipend to help offset transatlantic travel costs.

Internships run between 10 weeks and six months in length, typically in the summer or fall.

This year’s deadline for applications to the RISE Professional program is December 15, 2022.
