Spätzle & Steins: Celebrating 75 years of German-Canadian Friendship

Capital Eats, in association with the German Embassy, is pleased to announce a beer dinner celebrating 75 years of German-Canadian friendship.

Join us at Braumeister Bierhalle at 175 Carruthers Ave. on Friday, October 16 at 6 p.m. for a traditional, multi-course German beerhall meal. 

Four brews and a cider will accompany classic dishes. Brewmaster Phil Kochanke has also created a 75th Anniversary beer for the occasion. 

For this special event, German Ambassadors Tjorven Bellmann and Matthias Lüttenberg will be on hand, competing head-to-head with two different spaetzle dishes. Have your say as to which dish wins!

This dinner will be served family-style and includes dairy, gluten, and animal protein. As this is a set menu, substitutions are not available.

Timing: Dinner begins at 6 p.m., so please arrive before then. 

Parking: There is street parking, but please consider other transportation methods for your convenience and safety.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access through the patio doors.

Seating: There will be general seating throughout the space with no reserved tables.
