Study Scholarship – Master Studies for All Academic Disciplines • DAAD
This scholarship offered by DAAD – German Academic Exchange Service gives holders of a Bachelor degree from a Canadian university the opportunity to continue their studies at a state or state-recognized German university of the applicant’s choice.
These studies can take the form of either:
- a Master’s degree program
or - One year of study in Germany as part of a Master’s degree completed at the applicant’s home university. The general condition is that the academic credits earned in Germany must be recognized by the student’s home university. Moreover, the standard period of study at the home university should not be exceeded as a result of the study year in Germany.
This scholarship provides a monthly living allowance for the duration of the standard period of study for the chosen study program (up to a maximum of 24 months). In addition, the scholarship provides a travel allowance and insurance coverage while in Germany.
Please note:
1) For applicants from artistic disciplines and the field of architecture, the DAAD offers the following scholarship programs:
2) Funding can not be granted for a Master’s program or Postgraduate degree program that has already started in Germany.
3) The DAAD does not cover tuition fees.
