Franz Arnold, a dubious football official with a lot of money, flies to Ethiopia to revamp his tarnished image with an apparent development aid project. In Addis Ababa, 12-year-old Admassu dreams of a career as a football player in Europe and tries to contact Arnold. The orphaned street kid hopes in vain that the Swiss man will help him get a spot in the FC Barcelona football youth academy. In the end, he deliberately puts the foreigner in danger to receive his gratitude after saving him. Together, they flee to the mountains. Admassu loses control of his plan, but makes the right choices in the end.
