Languages Centre at Woodcroft

Categories: , , ,

This event is organized by the Goethe-Institut Toronto and the Institute for Innovation in Second Language Education at Edmonton Public Schools, in cooperation with the German Consulate, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA), German-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research, Humboldt Foundation and representatives of universities and other institutions.

This event will:

  • encourage students (Grade 9-12 and post-secondary) to begin studies in German in high school or university
  • encourage students to continue studies in German in high school and university
  • promote the advantages of learning German
  • highlight career and academic opportunities in connection with German(y).

There will be information booths by German and Canadian institutions and companies; we will offer continuous workshops and talks about exchanges, studying and working in Germany, and how to find and apply for scholarships and grants. In addition, we will have mini German language sessions. We recommend a 60 to 90 minute visit. Parents are welcome to join and to learn about how German can be beneficial to their child.

The event is free and bus transportation costs will be reimbursed within Alberta. To attend, please complete the registration form.

Please forward the PDF postcard to your students or colleagues who might be interested.

We are looking forward to seeing you and your students on November 4!
