Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany will organize a two-day conference on the future of energy with a focus on energy research in cooperation with Future Energy Systems and the University of Alberta. A public panel discussion will take place on the evening prior to the conference. The conference will consist of a series of moderated debates on some of the current issues regarding energy transition, bringing leading researchers from Germany and Canada as well as the decision makers from federal and provincial level and business representatives together to discuss current topics, such as low carbon energy, integrated energy systems as well as energy and environmental policies.
