🎄🧑🎄 The holidays are starting! 🕎🕯️
Ottawa’s best music talent will perform a song a day from Dec. 1 – 24. A #HolidayCalendar for all who love music and want to get into the holiday mood!
The international performing, multi-talented Ottawa musicians Angelique Francis and Kiran Francis (currently finishing up Angelique’s second studio album “Long River” to be released early 2022) partner with the German Embassy, bringing together talented artists for this year’s musical Advent Calendar.
The programming will include a wide variety of genres and a cast of multilingual performers who are as culturally diverse as the country they call home. The performances will include everything from German Christmas songs to Inuktitut throat singers, showcasing the wide range of music available in the Ottawa region, in multiple languages.
Follow along all month!
“We are thrilled to partner with the Francis family and their friends again. In Germany, the 24 days leading up to Christmas – the Advent – are all about building the anticipation to Christmas. In the darkest season of the year, a little door opens every day on our advent calendars to bring us a bit of light and joy. We can do with that this year!”
